What's with all the butterflies everywhere Lynde?
An even cursory tour of my paintings, home, and mural work will reveal a panoply and plethora of butterflies. Let's face it, every project is improved with butterflies!
They speak to me on many levels.
At first blush they represent delight, ideas, imagination and renewal.
On a deeper, more esoteric level they symbolize growth, evolution and ascension.
To me these fascinating insects could also represent the fleeting, evanescent qualities of this mortal probation.
One bug, so many metaphors!
