Artist Statement

I love the detail from Luke 1:41 that the “babe leaped in her womb” when Mary came to visit Elizebeth. These women must have taken solace in each other. They both played such a unique role in history.

The courtyard with the marvelous bougainvillea vine was so vivacious and fun to paint!
