If I could I would always work in silence and obscurity and let my efforts be known by their results.”
This quote by Emily Bronte brought to my mind the nature of our Heavenly Mother. For hundreds of years, in the Christian tradition, the female aspects of the Godhead has not received credit or attention. Yet I believe her life giving, nurturing, nourishing and beautifying work in our world has none the less manifested and inspired humanity.
Though specific aspects of her nature are currently veiled to us, her efforts are apparent and represented by the magnolias in her apron coming forth into the light. The gesture of her hands show a balance of give and receive attributes as one hand has the palm held down and the other palm is held up. Her clothing has undertones of purple and lavender, the traditional hue that represents royalty.
