Artist Statement

The impact that small daily traditions make in promoting a sense of stability in children’s lives is greater than we often realize. Simply cuddling and reading together can promote much warmth in our relationships with our little ones. The mother and son in this image are almost camouflaged under the fluid geometry and stylized florals of the Album quilt. The more subtle colors of the Irish Chain quilt gently cushions their heads.
